Frances Orlina is an emerging dancer, performer, and maker based on Gadigal Land. She graduated from WAAPA, receiving the Palisade Award and the WAAPA Medal, and has trained at institutions including SUNY Purchase College (New York), Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Koninklijke Balletschool Antwerpen. She has performed and collaborated on works by Alisdair Macindoe (Plagiary), Emma Harrison (High Octane), and Dance Makers Collective, as well as with renowned national and international choreographers. Frances is a current member of Future Makers, Dance Makers Collective’s emerging artist program. Her practice is grounded in improvisation, driven by curiosity for sensation, play, and the exploration of multiple forms of dance, with a focus on cultivating versatility and expressive range in her work.
