Anthea Doropoulos

Anthea Doropoulos co-founded DirtyFeet in 2005 with Sarah Fiddaman and takes pride in providing opportunities for artists in Sydney.

Anthea  is an experienced dance producer and arts manager with 16 years industry experience. As a creative producer she has fostered innovation in the dance sector by pioneering platforms for research, residencies, development, workshops and productions in inclusive and accessible dance practice for emerging and established dance artists.

As Director of DirtyFeet, Anthea has grown the not-for-profit dance company, DirtyFeet since 2007 from grass-roots into a sustainable organisation integral to the independent dance sector in Australia. DirtyFeet is recognised as essential to the dance ecology through its support of emerging dance artists and inclusive dance programs including working with artists with disabilities.

In 2019 Anthea started her role as Creative Producer at Campbelltown Arts Centre and has successfully produced sell-out dance seasons for Sydney Festival with artists Rhiannon Newton and Jasmin Sheppard.

In 2019 and 2020 Anthea was the Program Manager for March Dance, a flagship festival for the independent contemporary dance sector in Sydney; managing 122 artists and 102 events per year.

Anthea has a strong passion for community engagement and works closely with a range of artists and communities from diverse backgrounds. She has supported many First Nation Artists, emerging artists, artist from CaLD, POC, LGQTBI+ communities and artists with disabilities, continually demonstrating her commitment to create a more culturally rich arts community.
