Alex Lusty

Alex Lusty is a 2024 graduate from Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year program, expanding her knowledge of the independent arts industry over her 2 years of education. She got to work with a variety of different artists from Australia and overseas, some impactful mentors and experiences include collaborating with Miranda Wheen, Frances Rings and James Batchelor for her end of year season “PPY Revealed” where she achieved her advanced diploma in professional performance. As well as workshops from Bangarra Dance Theatre, learning repertoire from “The Light Inside” choreographed by Deborah Brown taught by company dancers and FORM dance projects Crystal Pite repertoire and Kidd Pivot improvisation from Jir̂í Pokorný. She's now part of Dance Makers Collective 'Future Makers' group where she was part of development and residency with UK choreographer Thomas Page and Sydney Fringe Festival show "Move FM". Also part of Alisdair Macindoe's upcoming work "Counterfeit". An interest and passion of hers is versatility in dance, allowing all styles to be relevant to contemporary and how that impacts her movement and creativity.
