Workshop with Rhiannon Newton
This workshop will focus on improvisation and how the things we care about in the world can manifest in choreographic thinking and practice. For Rhiannon the choreographic process she sets in place is where her concerns and experiences become translated into dance. She is interested in how the body is a thick zone for encountering, feeling, working with and understanding the world around us. In the workshop we will use improvisation and structured processes to open up how individual and collective concerns manifest in the body, the imagination and potential choreographic practices.
