PROGRAM
2026 SECONDMENT APPLICATIONS HAVE CLOSED
We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for DirtyFeet's Secondment Program, for two placements across our 2026 Program for emerging artists based in NSW with one placement prioritised for an emerging Indigenous artist.
This is a unique opportunity to experience the DirtyFeet program hands-on, offering valuable insight into the identity and inclusive culture of our work, artists, participants, and community.
Our simple Expression of Interest opens Wednesday 14 January and closes on Friday 6 February at 5pm.

WHO CAN APPLY?
- Emerging dancers in their first 1-3 years of professional practice
- New graduates
- Artists wishing to expand their practice to be more inclusive and accessible
- Applicants should be based in NSW and able to demonstrate that they have been living in NSW for the past 12 months
WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT?
This opportunity runs year-round, involving various projects and activities across our program. Secondees are encouraged to participate in all activities, but a minimum of three commitments is required to apply. Preference will be given to those available for all activities. For full-time programs, you won’t need to commit to full-time hours–suitable times can be arranged with the directors once recipients are selected.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Secondees will participate in inclusive arts training, community workshops, masterclasses for emerging makers, research lab, creative developments, company warm-ups, board meetings and production support.
THINGS TO KNOW
- Secondees will engage in practical tasks and discussions, though some parts of the process may involve observation only
- Secondment positions are unpaid, and DirtyFeet cannot cover travel or accommodation costs
