Azzam Mohamed, known as Shazam, is a Sudanese dancer, choreographer, and educator based in Sydney. His dance journey encompasses a rich blend of styles, spanning traditional cultural, street, and club dance genres. Azzam's involvement in the dance community is multifaceted, including teaching at studios and festivals, performing in stage shows, competing in and judging dance contests, event organisation, workshops, and mentoring emerging Hip Hop dancers. Notably, he clinched victory in the House Dance Style Category at Melbourne's City Sessions competition in February 2022 and later joined the judging panel for Australia's largest street dance festival, Destructive Steps. Azzam's performance credits include dancing with his crew Riddim Nation in Nick Power's Two Crews production and his choreographic work in The Risk of Hyperbole led by Jack Prest, and commissioned by Phoenix Gallery. He also participated in the durational experimentation performance, Monumental, at The Art Gallery of NSW earlier this year.
