Graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Wendy Yu is currently navigating through the Sydney dance and movement art scene with a keen interest in constructing post structuralist work.
Her work has generally been centred around removing dance from it’s theatrical setting and placing it on a medium in which viewers may witness the intricacies of movement that bodies, in the space, may achieve.
Within the past years she has worked with artists such as Gideon Obarzanek, Lee Serle, Sandra Parker, Anna Smith, Anouk Van Dijk and Sarah Aiken.
Wendy is currently experimenting in the durational performance installations, with solo performance installation works mounted at Contact sheet Gallery, Sydney, and Project Contemporary Arts space in Wollongong.
She has a keen aim in discovering how movement and user interactive digital design may collide to generate new sensations of phenomena within a viewer.
