Emalyn Knight is an independent artist, dancer and performance maker from Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. She graduated from Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year in 2016 and has since gone on to develop, create and work with established artists and organisations, expanding and exploring on her creative process and interests. Her credits include; TURANDOT by Opera Australia, Old Life/ Dead Life Eliza Cooper, AIDA Opera Australia, White Spirit Cult Joanna Griffiths, Dance Noir SDC, Heard SYD Nick Cave (NY), Sweet Carmen EDC, Chinese New Year Festivals, AMMA Creations Bollywood Film, ADF and Don’t Dis-Disabilities Charity Events alongside film works Vessel, SPARKS, and Way It Is by Olivia Costa and Elegant by David Muratore. She has performed her own solo work HABITAT in a PACT Salon curated by Cloe Fournier, which she is still developing further. Emalyn has contributed to creative processes and residencies with artists such as Renata Commisso, Cloe Fournier, Jasmin Lancaster, Alexandra Knox, Elle Evangelista, Eliza Cooper, Kristina Chan, Gideon Obarzanek, Zachary Lopez, Ayman Harper, Gabrielle Nankivell, Thomas Bradley, Melissa Toogood and Matt Cornell.
