Elmira Forrest

Elmira is an eager newcomer to the Sydney dance scene. She began her dance life at age 6 training in Contemporary under Johanna Clancy (former Head of Dance at NAISDA Dance College) at Katoomba Dance Theatre. At age 14 she branched out into other styles such as Hip Hop and by 16 was beginning to teach. During 2009, after finishing high school, Elmira taught at two Blue Mountains dance studios in the styles of Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet and some Tap. She also continued exploring and creating in her own choreography. During this time Elmira enjoyed teaching a Jazz-based class for both mentally and physically disabled students. In 2010 Elmira moved from Katoomba to Inner West Sydney after being accepted to study a Bachelor of Arts (Dance & Creative Arts) at Macquarie University under Dr. Pauline Manley. Elmira looks forward to being involved in new and exciting projects and being able to share and express her choreographic visions with others
